Unused　Fudo Kuniyuki (Genkai Masakuni) Mizu Honyaki 300mm Mirror Finish Blade Knife with Ebony Handle and Wood Cover with Wood box
****Fudo Kuniyuki is the one of brand name that Genkai Masakuni made knife. Genkai Masakuni is the only one apprentice under Heian Okishiba Masakuni. Okishiba Masakuni was pioneer to make high-end Mizu Honyaki cooking knife. His Mizu Honyaki is famous for the sharpest edge and retaining longest sharp edge. He had just had one apprentice, and it is Genkai Masakuni, and he is also over 70 years old, and it is very hard to get in Genkai Masakuni knife too. Even masters working in Sakai high-end cutlery, they often talk about his work, and they collect his knife.**** It looks little skinner than normal Gyuto, and it is mirror finish with vivid ripple lines. It is from used market, but it looks what it has never been used. I am not sure what kind of steel is used, but it should be Mizu Honyaki white steel or blue steel. The tongue looks like one body from the blade, not welded (it is very rare way to make it).
The handle is ebony and wood cover is also ebony with bamboo pattern wood curving.
The blade length (from the tip to the heel): 295mm (11 1/2inch)
The total length of the knife: 430mm (17inch) The heel part of the spine width: 4mm (1/8 inch) The total weight of the knife: 8.2oz.
