Ikkanshi Tadatsuna Mioroshi 210mm White Steel Blade Knife with cream color bolster

Awataguchi Ikkanshi Tadatsuna was originally started by the first Ikkanshi Tadatsuna who is a very famous Japanese sword blacksmith about 400 years ago, and the son of the second Ikkanshi Tadatsuna inherited the father works. Their swords are very famous unique beautiful ripple line on the blade, and their unique and beautiful metal carving at the base part of the blade. Japanese knife brand, Ikkanshi Tadatsuna has inherited their 400 years of Japanese sword making skills.

The blade is made of high quality white steel iron sand from at scratch with just like traditional way to make Japanese sword one by one. The blade of Hagane (edge) is made of white II steel. Ikkanshi Tadatuna blacksmith is favor to use white steel, and it comes out so sharp like razor blade. It is so amazing what this knife is super sharp, even though it is thick blade Deba type of knife. Magnolia handle with cream color water buffalo bolster that is very rare for Ikkanshi Tadatuna.

The knife is very thin blade for Deba knife, and lightweight. Mioroshi means Fillet fish in Japanese. Usually, Deba knife is thickest in Deba type of knife. Deba knife > Ai Deba knife > Mioroshi Deba knife > Mioroshi Knife The thickest blade knife is left side of the end, and the thinnest blade knife is right side of the end.

Mioroshi has the best performance filleting fish in Deba type of knives, but it should be O.K. to cut small bone with the heel part, but it should not cut off hard fat born, because it has due to the thin blade and the edge and the narrow tip.
